Hebrew is a semite language, just like Arabic. many words are the same and many are very similar. Arabs are lucky to have a very similar grammer as hebrew and learning the language should be very easy. Some words are dificult but are very common in the hebrew language so dont panic when you see them. just practice and it will come.
If you live in Jordan, Lebanon, Syria or the Palestinian Authorities, i suggest you will tune sometimes to Israeli radio stations and see if you like some of the hebrew songs there. feel free to request songs to be taught.
The major and most popular radio stations in Israel to play hebrew songs (among western music in between) are:
- Galgalatz : http://www.glgltz.co.il/ (Mix of foreign and Hebrew music, most popular station, owned by the IDF and the transportation ministry). listen : http://glz.co.il/Audio_galgalaz.aspx
- Reshet Gimmel : http://www.iba.org.il/gimmel/ (Only hebrew, varies between Rock, Oriental, Religious and Pop hebrew music) listen here : http://www.iba.org.il/gimmel/?live=yes
for other radio stations in Israel you can look at the list in the following website: http://radio.coolsite.co.il/
